The Fundy Tidal Inc. board of directors consists of experienced individuals who have served on the boards of the Scotian WindFields network of community funds and corporations and have in-depth knowledge of renewable energies, the Nova Scotia electricity marketplace and the Community Economic Development Investment Fund (CEDIF) initiative of the Nova Scotia Government. Combined skills and experience include:

Collectively, the FTI board are directors of the Sustainable Islands CEDIF, DaoPower Canada Corporation, Scotian WindFields Inc., Glooscap Wind Field Inc., Fourth Generation Capital Corporation, The Northumberland Wind Field Inc., Islands Winds Cooperative and Clare Machine Works. Mr. Dana Morin, BA, B.Ed. Director and Officer, President Fundy Tidal Inc. founder and president Dana Morin is an active participant in the creation and growth of community economic development investment funds and renewable energy initiatives in Nova Scotia. He was the founding president of the network of the eight community investment funds collectively referred to as the “Scotian WindFields” and the Sustainable Islands Community Economic Development Investment Fund.
Dana was also a founding director and management of Scotian WindFields Inc., DaoPower Canada Corporation, Wind Driven Inc., Wind Horse Power Ltd. and Fourth Generation Capital Corporation (4G) which specializes in carbon credit and emissions trading.
Mr. Nico Keyserlingk, Director and Officer, Treasurer A resident of Montreal, Quebec, Nico has been involved with renewable energy development in Nova Scotia for 5 years. He is director of Fourth Generation Capital Corporation, Wind Driven Inc. and Fundy Tidal Inc.
Mr. Vince Stuart- Director, VP Technology Development Vince is the president of Clare Machine Works Ltd. located in Meteghan Centre, Nova Scotia founded in 1972 by his father Arthur Stuart. Clare Machine Works services include General Machine Works, Engineering and Design, Hydraulic Installation and Trouble Shooting, Welding and Hydraulic Cylinder and Motor Repair. Products include Heavy Duty Mechanical Winches, Stabilizers and Fish Processing Equipment.
With the ever changing fishing industry the company has adapted to developing new products and services and has branched into products and services for the Alberta Oil & Gas and East Coast Offshore Oil and Gas industries.
Vince has targeted GREEN projects as a priority and is applying his expertise to the emerging tidal energy sector and is a director of Fundy Tidal Inc. and a supporter of two local community economic development investment funds targeted at renewable energy in the region.
Vince has been involved in numerous research initiatives from concept to completion and has received both financial support and awards from the National Research Council. Vince was recently recognized as "Businessman of the Year” in the regions’ Commerce magazine.
Mr. James Outhouse- Director, VP Community Relations & Partnerships Jimmy is marine engineer for the Department of Transportation and Public Works serving the ferries to and from Brier and Long Islands for the last 32 years. He is currently the Chair of Village of Westport Commission, President of Island Community Access Program, President of Westport Library Committee, Member of the Westport Fire Department, President of Westport Cemetery Committee, President of Islands Maintenance, director of Bay Wind Field Inc. and President of Island Winds Power Investment Cooperative.
Jimmy was a board member of the Union of NS Government Employees Union and sat on the Occupational Health and Safety Committee and was Vice President of his local union for many years.
Mr. Brian Watling- Director Brian has pioneered innovative and alternative capital investment vehicles in Nova Scotia, including the Community Renewable Energy Investment Funds program developed with the Government of Nova Scotia. He is a founder of the “Scotian WindFields” network of community investment funds and remains directly involved as a director of the Glooscap Wind Field Inc.
He was the founding President of Scotian WindFields Inc. and a founder of Renewable Energy Services Ltd., the two primary renewable energy operating companies in Nova Scotia. He is the President and CEO of Wind Driven Inc., President and CEO of Fourth Generation Capital Corporation and chairman of the board of DaoPower Canada.
Brian’s background includes training in the military, energy resource exploration and development in the Alberta oil industry, and retail capital market experience. He is currently working actively in the global carbon markets field with a focus on China. |
